Mobile Phone Cheating Video From Rajasthan Examination Centre Sparks Fresh Questions Over Anti-Cheating Measures
A viral video allegedly showing students using mobile phones during an examination at Bangad College in Rajasthan's Pali district has triggered fresh questions over the state's anti-cheating measures. While the video's authenticity is yet to be officially verified, the incident has reignited concerns over examination integrity, invigilator accountability, and the effectiveness of administrative oversight.
According to claims circulating with the viral video, several students inside the examination hall can be seen using mobile phones during the examination. The most striking allegation is that the activity allegedly took place in the presence of the examination invigilator. The footage has prompted people to question how mobile phones were allowed inside the examination hall despite the security arrangements that are expected to prevent such violations.
The viral video also claims that the invigilator remained present inside the examination hall while students continued using mobile phones without fear of disciplinary action. Although the authenticity of the video and the circumstances surrounding it are yet to be officially verified, the footage has reignited concerns over the fairness and credibility of the examination system. If the allegations shown in the video are confirmed during the investigation, the issue will extend beyond a single examination centre and raise broader concerns about the overall examination administration, as the use of mobile phones during examinations is strictly prohibited.
This is not the first time Bangad College has faced allegations related to examination malpractice. The institution has previously been associated with complaints regarding examination management and alleged cheating incidents. As a result, the latest viral video has once again brought those earlier allegations into public discussion.

The college has also faced criticism in the past from local legislator Bhimraj Bhati, who had levelled several serious allegations against the college administration. Despite those allegations, questions surrounding the institution's examination management had not completely subsided. The emergence of the latest video alleging mobile phone use during an examination has once again placed the functioning of the college administration under public scrutiny.
At present, the viral video continues to generate widespread discussion on social media. However, it is yet to be established when the video was recorded, which examination it relates to, and whether all the claims associated with it are accurate. Those questions can only be answered after an official investigation. Nevertheless, the incident has once again raised serious concerns over the government's claims of preventing cheating and the effectiveness of examination management in educational institutions. Attention is now focused on the authorities to determine what the investigation reveals and what action will be taken if negligence is found at any level.
